Expansion of urban video surveillance

New fiber-optic camera points for the city's video surveillance system, serving the Local Police.

Urban Video Surveillance Expansion – Sarzana Historic Centre | Imprese Bagnone

Expansion of the Municipality of Sarzana’s urban video surveillance system, with the installation of five new camera points in five strategic locations across the historic center and surrounding areas. Each location was equipped with a high-performance professional camera on a dedicated mount, complete with compliant signage, a fiberglass roadside cabinet and network equipment for optical signal conversion.

The new camera points were connected to the operations center using single-mode fiber-optic backbones, installed both in underground ducts – including road excavation and subsequent reinstatement – and by using existing overhead infrastructure, in order to minimize the impact of the works on the urban environment. The project is completed by electrical supplies protected by dedicated circuit breakers with residual-current protection, junction boxes, and commissioning with verification of the video streams to the Local Police command center.

Working to improve the safety of public spaces requires reliability and full compliance with the rules: a project carried out in accordance with the relevant CEI standards and D.M. 37/08, in full compliance with current regulations.
